Matt Raines: PHP Web Developer, London, UK

About Me

I'm an experienced web application developer and technical manager. My previous jobs have included leading development teams producing enterprise web sites for clients including Sainsbury's, Dolland and Aitchison, and Abbey National.

I've worked in the web development industry since graduating from Warwick University in 2000. I'm a Zend Certified PHP Engineer and a Member of the British Computing Society.

Between 2007 and June 2010 I was Secretary of the popular PHP London web developer user group, where I organised rooms, activities, and speakers for meetings. I organised many aspects of the UK's largest PHP conference at Kensington Olympia in 2009 and again at the Business Design Centre, Islington in 2010, raising over £40,000 from sponsors including Microsoft, Facebook, PayPal, Sun Microsystems, and Adobe.

Prater Raines Ltd

I run a web development company with my colleague Tim Prater, providing web application design and development to small businesses, voluntary organisations, and political groups.

Our main products include a widely used CMS for Liberal Democrats and bespoke website development. I am available for part-time contract PHP development and consultancy.

In addition to our core services we can provide hosting on our own servers in a UK data centre and email redirection or hosting including spam filtering and push email. We are a member of Nominet and provide low cost domain name registration for our customers.
